“An explorer-in-residence from Plymouth University is taking an iPad mini on his solo expedition to the South Pole to control aerial camera drones. While he’s there he will also compose music inspired by his journey. Antony Jinman is collaborating with Plymouth University composer Dr Alexis Kirke, who has selected a number of apps that make it simple for non-musicians to compose music. Kirke is keen to gain insight into how composing can help the physically isolated and stressed explorer to regulate and express his emotional state.”
